Siljanmarka offers beautiful scenery with almost unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreation in all seasons.
There are trails made for summer and winter, alpin resort, nice berries areas, 70 excellent fishing lakes and rivers. There is a fishing map to by at the touristinformation in Skien.

One of the most popular destinations in Siljanmarka and Grenland is Blåfjell. Great view from the top. A nice walk from Solvika Café.

On the road north of Siljandalen we are passing Grorud located in the north of the municipality.

The terrain surrounding Grorud is excellent for outdoor recreation in all seasons.


From Grorud there are multiple paths and trails east, including to Breidalsåsene and Breidangsmyrene.

You can also try the old tow path from Grorud to Årum that was cleared for a few years ago.
